I think the reasoning is fallacious, I'd flip it and say that some unethical people are also creative rather than creativity leads to dishonest behavior.
I guess my real interest in the way this article exemplifies the way statistics/science/management deals with knowledge. There is something insidious in this that is just off kilter enough to make it slightly comical and preposterous.
